Rhenium and osmium are analyzed on a Thermo Triton Plus thermal ionization mass spectrometer (TIMS) with pulse counter (SEM) or simultaneous Faraday cup collectors coupled to either 1011 or 1012 amplifiers allowing accurate and precise measurements of Re and Os from the femtogram to nanogram level.
